"Born of Ice"
Ages ago, glaciations
filled Yosemite Valley to
the brim excavated the
valley. Glacial ice was
thousands of feet deep.
Half Dome (portrayed at
the far end of the tunnel
on the right) stood 900
feet above the ice, but
many peaks to the north
were totally engulfed.
This is the 1st painting in
a series of four created
for the "Pen n Paint
Project" book. This
painting will remain in
Rick's private collection
because his 6 year old
grandson assisted him by
painting a portion of the
mountains.
